Cambo!

Stunning New Zealanders on both islands, hometown boy made good Michael Campbell gives his U.S. Open victory trophy to World Bank staffer Dena Ringold and gives a stirring discussion of the merits of Maori social development programs. Gracefully accepting, Ringold says, "Frankly, Cambo couldn't have done it without me. Plus, I helped on his backswing." In other news, Prime Minister Helen Clark introduced new legislation in Parliament making rain in winter illegal. "If we are truly to be the Oregon of the South Pacific, and not merely the de facto love child of Vancouver, Trollope, the musical 'South Pacific,' and Tony Blair, we're going to need some real Fiji-style weather," she notes. Her poll popularity promptly soars. The opposition leader, Dr. Donald Brash, counters, "If elected, National will outlaw winter altogether--or maybe export it to Oz."

Ah, the super-stalker strikes again! All I got was a few measly photos of the parade.
