Quiz Night!

Tuesday is quiz night at many of Wellington's finest watering holes. Thanks to my friend Tom, I've become a regular at a quiz at an Irish Pub downtown. Our team "Mean Meat" (anagram for "Team Name") wins or places in the top 3 regularly. Winners get a bar tab, to be spent the following week. It's a good group of folks, with a large contingent of Australians who work at Alcatel -- which came in handy for a recent round of questions about cell phones. I'm not much use during the sports rounds -- particularly anything to do with cricket. But I was the only one who knew that Alan Iverson plays basketball. This past week, due to some serious deadlines at Alcatel, Tom and I were on our own -- and came in second!
