Art Deco in Napier

On my way back to Wellington from Whalerider Country last month I stopped in Napier, a city along the east coast at Hawke's Bay. Napier is famous for its Art Deco architecture. It was leveled in an earthquake in 1931 and completely rebuilt in the style of the day. The ASB bank (below) is one of the most celebrated buildings which incorporates Maori designs into the facade.
